Eric Hamel

Young Company Director - Associate Artist                                                        

Eric (pictured left as Valentine Coverly in Arcadia) has been working on the Publick Theatre's mainstage for 4 years and joined the Publick Theatre's Young Company teaching staff in 2005. Since February of '05, Eric has been working with Shakespeare Now, introducing Shakespeare to students at high schools throughout Massachusetts. Eric has worked in theatre Off-Broadway and has appeared with Boston area companies such as Wellesley Summer Theater, Sugan Theatre, Zeigeist Stage, The New Repertory Theatre, Boston Theatre Works, The Speakeasy Stage, and New Opera Musical Theatre Initiative (NOMTI). He has directed academic productions including: Boy's Life, Clue, Death Trap, and The Wizard of Oz.  Eric studied musical theater at The Boston Conservatory.

Devon Jencks (pictured right as Helena in Midsummer Night's Dream-'03)

 is delighted to be back working with the talented and inspiring

 Young Company at the Publick Theatre. 

Devon has taught acting and directing at Wheaton College in Norton, MA and has directed Tom Stoppard's play, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead at the TheatreZone in Chelsea.  She could be seen performing in The Loman Family Picnic at Gloucester Stage Company, on TV brushing her teeth for a Channel 5 promo, or passing out photos of her new nephew, Liam.  She looks forward to another rewarding summer full of Shakespearean mayhem, sunshine, and brushing up on her questionable frisbee skills.
